Cool keyboards. The synthy synths seem out of place, to my ears, but the vocals are really great. Some nice rhythmic parts too. It's got a dreamy sound and a good hook. Nice!

Thanks, elundart... it's the first time I've ever worked with James, who is mainly an electronica person, so it was a little too 'synthy' for me as well. But the end product was good enough to post (I thought). I hope the next thing we crank out will be more guitar- and violin-based.

I have to agree with edlundart. The vocals are the strongest part of this, they're very nice, and organic sounding in contrast to everything else. The best parts are with the vocals/bass/drums and Rhodes-y sounding keys.
You may totally NOT be into this kind of music, but the vocals to me are reminiscent of bands like Midlake or the Doves. It might be interesting for you to try out different genres and sounds.
Or not.

Hey, chococat - thanks for the comment. I honestly do like your stuff. I'm a huge fan of Midlake... so you're right on target. This is a big departure for me - my stuff is normally all acoustic-based. I'll upload a better one now!

This is quite good.

The stereo panning of the electric piano is a little too aggressive. I'd narrow it a bit.

The synthy synth mentioned above, yeah, too much. But the line is good, just mellow it.

The bass line is delicious.
