Superhero theme songs are free of shuffling backbeats (unless used as a snippet within the them to denote contention or resolve).
Exception to the above is for contemporary short-lived cartoon series on the Cartoon Network. Nonetheless, upon being revived by admiring fans who grow up to be producer, said theme is dropped or only made reference to in the newly-created and more appropriately awe-inspiring theme music.
When it comes to superhero themes and drums, think kettle.
In any case, you got the guitar right. posted by humannaire at 10:38 AM on

Oh wow. Quite different from you previous songs. Making music for visual stuff is really cool, isn't it? Have you seen it mixed in with the images yet? posted by micayetoca at 10:54 AM on

He just told me he wanted something like Cambodian Rocks, I don't think I quite got that, but I guess it was low-fi 60's enough, except for the drum machine... I like the idea of kettle drums.
Yea, it was cool to see it over the footage.
I do like to make louder rock-ish stuff, though it's mostly instrumental. I have another song I made for the same film that's acoustic and more like the other stuff I've uploaded here, maybe I'll post that another day. posted by JulianDay at 11:12 AM on

I find the shuffling backbeat perfectly super heroic. Not every superhero is Batman or Superman. posted by mccreath at 5:53 PM on
