One of my old songs played on a sequencer I wrote in Lotus Notes. Dissonance warning! Still needs work but turned out much better than I expected.

It's funny how things come around. 20 years ago I was learning how to play this song with the help of my Atari ST and some hideously expensive sequencer. And here I am again.

I'm trying to decide what's cooler: That you wrote a sequencer in Lotus Notes, or that you then used it to produce this groove. I like the rhythm quite a lot. I think you could add some interest if you changed up the tone and texture more, but it's a really solid, tasty base to work from.

P.S.: Shout-out from another sometime ST user. Ah, those were the days.

Thanks. This was one of those songs we rarely did live because it always sounded like a mess, but with the precision of a sequence, it can work. I'm quite optimistic that I can make something pretty interesting out of this.

The ST was a good little machine. It did pretty much everything contemporary Macs did for half the price, and the midi ports were just gravy.
