Don't Worry 'Bout It

This is about the dumbest piece of dumbness ever. I was goofing around on my 7 and 9 year old daughters' keyboard and noticed the "Clav" setting. Ha! I discovered that if I put it through the Crybaby Wah pedal and then through the tube amp that it actually DIDN'T SOUND AT ALL like Songs in the Key of Life-era Stevie Wonder. Instead it sounded like me acting stupid and then I sang some high-assed background vocals like a fucking idiot and did my whitest ever white-guy impersonation at the beginning. But it makes me laugh and it's my kids' favourite, go figure.

More power to ya. Why is it always the things we think are the dumbest that people like the most?

I have one on a cassette somewhere that I wrote at, like, 1am trying to be quiet so I wouldn't wake up my roommates, and recorded the vocal one line at a time (hitting pause in between to think of the next line to sing.) It was terrible to me, but everybody else loved it.

Needless to say, I loved this. Totally putting it in my collection.

For some reason, every time I hear this song (favorites podcast) I can see my little brother in his blue corduroy overalls bouncing up and down in his playpen all smiley happy. That would be a major flashback of about 35 years.
