I am a lonely man, with only Audacity for company.
This is my first attempt at a multitrack recording. I don't have a real microphone, so it's really lo-fi. I also apparently have no clue how to master, so the levels will scare you. I welcome suggestions, death threats, etc.

Hah! That means a lot. I mean no slight to the community in putting up something so unpolished, but that's about as far as I could get tonight and I was dying to have something new up (the other track is half a decade old already, yikes). Hopefully, when I move and am employed, I can upgrade my equipment and get some quality voice tracks recorded. Until then, I think I'll stick to playing with AudioMulch. This is far below my normal standard as voice parts go, but I wanted to isolate my voice instruments as much as possible and see what happened.

HAHA, crazy! Pretty good job though. It'd be neat to have a decent microphone and signal path to limit the noise.

Speaking of vocalization stuff, this kind of reminds me of (well, only when it comes to laying down multiple vocal tracks of yourself) someone like Kid Beyond (though he does beat boxing) but uses a hardware setup to loop his voice and do some crazy stuff. One of his most famous pieces is a cover of Portis Head's "Wandering Star."

Check it out, since it's sort of a similar thing to what you were doing (as far as laying down multiple vocal tracks go). :)

For the record, I didn't use any samples or loops, but recorded each vocal part as a single take with no stitching. So if I sound breathless towards the end, it's because I haven't learned to cycle breathe. I should reiterate that my normal beatbox improv is a bit freer, but I constrained myself here to adhere to the master recording, so that I could synch things up. Again, when I have a mic, I'd like to experiment with samples; but I also feel like HiFi needs an honest to goodness beatbox track, and soon.
