It's like you're the new Ray Stevens or something.
Not normally into parody-type "funny" songs, I wanted to not like this but the way you made "vidya" rhyme got the better of me.
Plus the country lead guitar is, again, spot-on.

Combination of groaning and smiling, here. Which is I guess apropos, given the narrative.

And yeah, great lead guitar sound.

First of all, yeah, that lead guitar is just perfect. And I'm enjoying your country songs. And I can't wait for the next one.

Did you record these by yourself or were there other musicians playing the rest of the instruments?

Yeah, I usually feel uncomfortable writing serious lyrics...they never really seem to come out right. The humorous stuff is just easier for me.

Our band normally plays rock but we had these country songs that sounded like fun to record. So we ended up recording 4 songs in the studio. Our guitarist is easily the most musically gifted out of the 4 of us. We're always really happy with his work and he really came through on these recordings. Its funny, he plays bass for our rock band and lead guitar for country. We're trying to convince him to just switch to guitar full time.

Anyway, I'll post the last song soon. It's my attempt at more serious lyrics (wince).

Yeah, I asked because I read in another of your songs that you said the band was crushmore, but it sounded so different to the country songs that I thought you might be doing these by yourself (or with other people).

We're trying to convince him to just switch to guitar full time.

And I'm gonna try to convince you guys of switching to country. Not that your rock songs are bad or anything, but the country ones, hmm, well... rock.

Dude! I was just sitting down to a nice bowl of soup listening to Alvy's Mefi Music Podcast, digging your sound. Suffice to say I was caught off guard by the lyrics...nice!
