A "drifty" and atmospheric song about life and death and love, complete with harp.

I bought a $1 bamboo slide whistle in Chinatown. It doesn't work particularly well, but I found that if I played it in a hectic and random manner and then pitch-shifted it and slowed it down a whole lot, I could create the kind of space-bird sounds you hear throughout this song. The harp part is a couple of samples working together.

don't you worry about the end
there's no reason or rhyme that we'll comprehend
no need to wait for a great reward
already baby you are adored

so don't you worry about the end
we've got days and weeks and months and years left to spend
in a universe mostly unexplored
rest assured that you are adored

please don't worry about the end
make the most of each turn 'cause our road's gonna bend
but you my love will never be ignored
don't you know that you are adored

Continuing the thought from my comment in this song, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this one, but it's too sparse (ethereal? atmospheric?) for me. I think some sort of subtle percussion would help it tie it together, but it might not be the sound you are after, so don't really pay attention to me.

Hah, thanks for dropping in here too. My pimping worked! Yeah, this song has a different vibe to it, but I do like it without percussion. I guess it's just not everyone's cup of tea. It's certainly no top 40 hit...

I like this a lot.

(Isn't it strange when people are enthusiastic about your saddest songs?)
