Macintosh Girl

July 3, 2006 10:31 AM

Just your average romeo and juliet sort of love song, with the protagonist finally realizing that because he uses Windows NT things will never work with the Macintosh user he just brought home from the bar. The WinNT dates it to the late 90's, when i recorded it one night while drinking at work. Now, before you Mac fans get all riled up, I use both, then and now, and much prefer my G5 and my wife's Macbook to the PC i'm using to type right now. So there.

I found this on an old mp3 archive the other day and was cracking up thinking there was a time when someone might say "I have NT in my bones." Still a catchy tune and I still remember it being the highlight of Fray Day 1999.

my own memories of that Fray Day are wine-colored...to say the least.

it was before OSX, so i guess at the time it was justified. I guess i need to do a new version, where they meet many years later on using free wifi with their Macbooks in a coffee shop somewhere.

Right, kind of like Before Sunset.
