Mostly midi version made when I was studying sound engineering. We had to do a song for an assignment using Logic. I took an old vocals and acoustic song of mine and re-jigged with awful out of time drumming and wacky samples. Got a decent mark too.

Interesting. Those drums in the first half are actually pretty cool.

I'm not a giant fan of the bleating synth takeover at the end. But the song itself is solid.

I really like your process of taking a straightforward acoustic tune, gutting it, and replacing the accompaniment with all sorts of shifting sounds. Ultimately, what keeps it listenable is the fact that your vocals are solid and the melody is good. There aren't many songs in 3/4 or 6/8 time that are principally electronic. Thanks for posting this.

Hah, good stuff. I also recently graduated from an audio engineering program in which we had the same assignment. Since you are in Sydney, I'm guessing you are at SAE? I went to the SAE Nashville Campus.

The song was solid man. Good job. I still hate Logic though. Damn non-intuitive routing interface. =D

You have a very nice voice and the melody is indeed very nice. You should also post the acoustic version here in the comments. The last part where the drums go and the guitar comes in sounds really nice.
