Ambient Evil

My husband and I are writing and playing music together. We're just starting to do some recording. Here's one of our first attempts.

I wrote the music/words, sing and play guitar. He drums. We're messing around with Garage Band and some newhardware.
It's 3 tracks recorded separately. It's not the best timing, but only our 2nd attempt at such a thing. We'd love any feedback.

It's very soundtracky, isn't it? You should try to do some low humming to compensate for the lack of bass, that could fill that gap and give something extra to the song.

I like the seed of what is there, definitely keep posting new stuff you guys do.

This is definitely a disaster's. But a well recorded one, and, as micayetoca said, it really conveys something. I feel somehow that the delay behind your voice is afflicting the overall rhythm in a strange way.

Thank you for the comments. We're so happy to get some feedback. As for the delay on my vocals, I'm not a huge fan of it, but my husband mixed it and made the mp3 with it and he likes it. We will definitely post more songs soon as we have a bunch of material to record. Also, we do have a bass, so next time one of us will record a bass line too to fill out the sound a bit more. Thanks again.

Also, a side note, a conundrum we always have is finding other artists to compare ourselves too, so we can describe ourselves better. We'd like to start playing gigs at some point this year, so it'd be good to have a clue. If you think we have the feeling/essence of someone else or whatever, please let us know.

Reverse White Stripes? That comes to mind because this is a power duo kinda thing and I like it. Having a duo is obviously not a common line up, but I like it and would keep it up. I bet if you continue to jam with the idea in mind that you want to sound a little more fleshed out that you can pull it off. Hubby can provide a few more hits, slaps and booms perhaps. And when you start giggin' it'll only be a two-way split!

I don't mean to be contrary to the other great comments, but this sounds like a cool musical challenge. Keep it up!
