Story Yet Untold

Straightforward riff rock with maybe a hint of a memory of Jethro Tull. If you can sing this better - and believe me, you can - drop me a note.

Is that Les Claypool on the vocals?

I like this. The acoustic interlude in the middle there was a nice touch.

Is the "hint of memory" of Jethro Tull from "Only Solitaire" ? Or a different era?

I agree, a whiff of the druidic.

crazyray, I didn't have any particular Tull in mind to compare it to and certainly wasn't thinking about that when I wrote it. Just in hindsight the structure and some of the guitar melodies strike me as Tull-like. I sure do like Only Solitaire, though, so I'm cheered you mention it.

Oooh, ooh, pick me!

I'd love to do vocals, but I doubt I have the voice for it. This is such an awesome track, though, who could resist the offer to be a part of it.

There must be some perspective
From which it all makes sense
The images resolve themselves,
The knotted parts dissolve themselves,
And certainty emerges from our fragile evidence

Or perhaps from any side
The picture looks the same
The shadow of occlusion
Meaning more than mere illusion
An intrinsic, deep obstruction that we cannot hope to change

I believe that there is reason
In the mysteries that unfold
But the limits of our vision
Leave us lost in indecision
And the end may well be written, with the story yet untold
