jazz tune. also, "jazz" tune. This is a piece from a group I was a part of for awhile called The Piltdown Ensemble (I joined after they started and I still think it's one of the best names ever). I'm playing alto sax on this one. Also, this used to have a real title, but damn if I remember it. It's the seventh track on the disc I have of our stuff. Recorded live with two mics on a summer evening in Lawrence, Kansas.

Nice. I love that kind of rolling feel the bass and drums are laying down, and how the composition takes its sweet time. And even though I know I'm engaging in unfair stereotyping based solely on geographical location, this is not the kind of music that springs immediately to mind when I think of Lawrence Kansas. Cool!

Most of KS blows. Lawrence is a great place to live, though, because of things like this. Oh, and some guy who shot his wife lived there for a large part of his later life. Burroughs something or other. Writer or something.

Yea, baby, both hands snappin'. This reminds me of some art films that a lunatic teacher showed us during (elementary) summer school once. I loved every minute. This is great stuff, man.
