Trent Reznor, Malcolm X, and George W. Bush meet at last.

A couple of years ago, Trent Reznor released a Garageband version of the original tracks for "The Hand That Feeds" to let people play around and remix it. Frankly, I haven't listened to NIN much since The Downward Spiral, but I thought it would be pretty hilarious to feature George W. Bush as the main singer in the song, since I'd just found an archive of samples from W. speeches.

Anyway, I just rediscovered my remix, and while it's not as far above my personal-originality threshold as I'd prefer (I think -- I don't really recall the original and I've never even heard it outside of the Garageband files), the second half of the song is just creepy -- like "holy shit, did Bush say that?" creepy (and yes, he did) -- and I figured it was worth passing along just for those bits alone, and because Trent seems generally pretty cool with these things. The best part is at about the 2:20 mark.

Plus, my version is more rockin' -- old-school Head Like a Hole style. Which is a good or a bad thing, depending on your point of view.

Actually, the best Dubya moment is at about 2:50. Jeez, I still think it's freaky.
