I really like the little parts where the synth kind of stutters -- starting around 3:15 -- it took me by surprise -- and the percussion is really cool.

Is there a playground off to one side?

This would be good gloomy montage movie music.

Actually, now that I think of it, it reminds me a little of Pray for Rain, who do instrumental movie music for a few films -- I'm thinking of Sid and Nancy, mostly. Any influence there?

Karlos, thanks for your detailed comments! No, no influence from that group, though I've never claimed I'm terribly original.

Inoculate, yes, very BoC. I have another song that I might post that I swear is a blatant rip-off, but I can't find the BoC song that it rips off (so maybe it's not?)
