A upbeat, country-ish number about a guy who'd like his girl to finish up that last drink so we can hit the road already...

I think it's a pretty solid skeleton! Are you going to flesh it out a little more? (I guess I'm thinking mostly about doing something with that drum track.)

With a more raucous (or just sloppier) rhythm track, I think it'd be pretty cool.

My favorite part is the guitar part -- I like those intervals.

How about putting bar sounds (conversation, cleaning glasses off the bar, etc) over the fade-out?

Good ideas Karlos. I did all these RPM Challenge tracks with drum loops, and I just didn't get a chance to add in any fills on this one. It's a little robotic without any variation, that's for sure.

I don't know if I'll do a rework of this version-- I mostly do these recordings as demos for the band, not as a final product. In fact, we were working on this song last night and it's turning out very different-- maybe I'l post it if the practice tape we did last night came out OK.

one thing that could also work--go quiet with the drum track / guitar track for a phrase, and let that vocalization of the phrase take on more significance. you could basically cherry-pick through your lyric lines and test this out on software to find a good "rest" spot.
