My attempt at the Metafilter lyric challenge

First recording I've shared, so be kind! Used Audacity to record it, tried doing two tracks, guitar and vocals, but my singing is even worse (hard to believe...) if I'm not playing the guitar at the same time. So after a few takes, this one came up with the least mistakes. Hope you enjoy! My fingers hurt... Lyrics: Needs and dreams and desires make or break our fragile lives the path to happiness and comfort is often paved with pain We walk down roads of plenty that turn into fields of pain 'cause life is all about conflicting desires that we face everyday The choice between good and evil is one made long ago The desire to be good and selfless is often drowned by greed [CHORUS] Unhappy with what life's dealt them desiring and craving for too much their days spent dreaming of perfection damning their lives to lament. Good shot. I'm surprised there weren't more shots at the lyric challenge. You're fortunate to have some grit in your voice, and you're using it the right way here. Thanks for including the complete lyrics.
