It seemed time for an uncomplicated pop song (not that any of my songs are super complex in the first place). But in this nice little package you get everything you’re looking for in a standard radio-friendly pop song (does anyone listen to the radio anymore?)...

Features include:

- boy and girl meet, wrong thing feels right, turns out to be right thing after all (Standard Love Song Theme #237)
- under three minutes
- easy to remember repeating chorus lyric that’s also the title of the song
- chorus goes up a whole step for the big finish
- doubled guitar goes up a third in final chorus

Let me tell you people… you can’t ask for more from a pop song. We’ve spared no expense. And this baby comes with the undercoating for free! Take her for a test drive.

I think I've said this before to you, your style is not exactly my cup of tea, but it is so well rounded that I can't let it pass without complementing you, your songs are perfect exponents of their genre.

I suspect you were being a little facetious with your radio-friendly checklist, but this one did have a bit of that generic "shooting for mass market appeal" feel, especially the lyrics. Well-produced and high-quality stuff as usual, but I have to say I've much preferred your other songs. I'm willing to accept that your description may have primed my response, though. :-)

Hey guys. Loving the feedback. Thanks.

@Micayetoca: thanks for checking it out even though it's not your thing.

@DanB: good feedback as always. And of course, I wasn't shooting for anything in particular, it just sort of popped out. We'll see what pops out next and if it's more to your taste. ;)

I see shots of San Francisco circa Full House, interspersed with gauzy shots of a clean cut cast in acid denim vests. Standing at a bar, an affable looking guy talking to a lightly gesticulating bartender looks up to catch the camera's eye and smiles as if to say - oh, I didn't see you there. A teenage boy shoots a basketball, and greets us in turn. Then, a genial japanese man tending his flowerbox.

Produced by Gene Stedelmeyer.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience.
