A late-night experiment in three-part harmony, which isn't a good idea since I'm not much of a singer, if the warbly low notes are any indication. It's an even worse idea when it's a cover of a song performed by Hajime Chitose, who really can sing.

Lyrics romanized (haven't translated them yet):

Kimi ga miageru
Yoake no sora wa donna iro?
Aoku suzushii mada ni minu hana no iro

Kimi ga shiranai
Manatsu no kaze wa donna iro?
Netsu wo obiteru setsu nai hana no iro

Kita no machi e todoketai
Watashi no uta wo
Kimi no mune ni todoketai
Kotonoha hitotsu

Sotto omoi haseru
RAIRAKKU (lilac) no sora

Kita no machi e mai oriru
Watashi no uta ga
Kimi no mune ni mai oriru
Kotonoha itsu ka

Onaji yume wo miteru
RAIRAKKU (lilac) no sora
Akai deigo no kaze
RAIRAKKU (lilac) no sora
Akai deigo no kaze

Nicely done, this is really pretty. I had not heard the original version, so I'll also thank you for the link.

As far as the vocals go, I wouldn't say you're not much of a singer: to my ear it sounds like you're just rolling out of your comfortable range on the low end. Any reason why you didn't raise the pitch a few tones? Your high end sounds really solid throughout.

The highest note of the song reaches the very top of my comfortable range, and I usually choose to lock in my high notes. The low B-flat is just skirts outside my comfortable low range.

I think it sounds pretty darn tight, actually. Great job.

Really interesting harmonies, makes me want to check out more of this kind of thing. Strikes me as somewhere between a Buddhist religious service and the chorus of "Behind Blue Eyes".

I kept expecting Tibetan throat singing to kick in. There's an unexpectedly meditative quality about this.
