It's a good cover... but, a wonderful pop opera? Isn't it about his sister's suicide? Wikipedia says it's from one of his sister's final diary entries?

Enjoyed the cover. Love that piano sound and yeah, it's a great song.

I'd guess that much of it is about his sister's death but E had no shortage of tragedy in his life around that time. If you enjoy his music you should check out the BBC documentary about his relationship with his father, Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives.
