Yes, that wasn't an idle threat. For your listening pleasure, I present to you Dio's "Holy Diver" on ukulele, electric ukulele, drums, and far too many vocal tracks.

I'd also like to add that I'm rather drunk, and Taquitos are terrible food. And, yes, the vocals were recorded last, and, yes, I did get a bit too excited with them, sometimes. Also, I know that I got the first part of the first verse wrong.

Y'know, several listens later, I think I actually didn't get the first part of the first verse wrong.

Taquitos are wonderful food. You take it back.

Oh yeah, and great cover.

Now, take it back about taquitos.

My mouth wants to take it back, but my stomach disagrees. I'd offer you my apologies, sleepy pete, but I suppose they really should be given to the Taquito Fairy.

I'm sorry, Taquito Fairy.

We were in a dive bar in a suburban neighborhood, playing darts and having maybe a few too many beers. It seems like, lately, even dive bars have those internet-connected jukeboxes, the sort that will play any song you can think of, and for an extra couple bucks, they'll play it right now.

There was a gentleman sitting at the end of the bar who had certainly been there for a few hours, maybe all day, wearing a dusty leather jacket and generally looking like a metalhead who had been temporally displaced.

We stuck a few songs into the jukebox queue, figuring we'd hear them eventually, and went back to the dartboard. Meanwhile, we were treated to the Very Best of Iron Maiden, Dio's Greatest Hits, and so forth. Maybe 45 minutes later, here comes the Toadies' "Possum Kingdom," one of my personal favorite songs about vampire rape.

Not fifteen seconds into it, this guy jumps up from the bar yells, "Who the fuck keeps putting all this faggot-ass shit on?!," and marches straight to the jukebox.

The next song up? "Holy Diver." He had spent probably $2 to skip our songs and hear some Dio. You gotta respect that kind of devotion to metal.

Also, this cover is an awful lof of fun.

I'm with sleepy pete - you've slandered the good name of taquitos.

You've also made me really wish I had a uke. Great job.

In this case the tiger is the toilet? This whole song is actually a 7/11 Taquito induced idiocy. Stupid Dio. Ruined Black Sabbath and metal in general. I like songs with words that aren't idiotic.

Good job, though.

That's to say that Dio wrote the songs under the influence of Suckage and Taquitos not that the Mulp is to blame for the diver man's shit lyric skill.

By the way, I challenge you to turn on VH1 when they're playing their metal block and NOT see Holy Diver within five minutes. It is always on.
