I owe 125w103 an apology. I misheard this lyric while listening in the car, and blew the whistle. Jack_mo has kindly provided a link to the resulting personally embarrassing thread.

Last thing I want is to be on the wrong side of a "Louie, Louie" argument. Would be very interested to see the lyric and to understand what inspired the song (anything in particular in the novel/film)?

Hey, don't worry about it at all- I was hanging out with the keyboardist when I saw this page, and we pulled up the song and listened to it, and we were both like, oh- yeah. That's not an entirely unreasonable take on what we're singing. I can understand the confusion, and I can certainly understand why you'd want the song removed. We cool.

And AppleSeed, in the sober light of a Monday morning I apologize for calling you creepy. That was my own knee-jerk reaction to someone mis-hearing or projecting their own meaning onto something and then calling to censor it...which is really scary to me.
