Too cool! The gutbucket approach brings out a dynamic I've never heard in this song before. Glad it turned out. posted by arcanecrowbar at 3:09 PM on

Wonderful. I had never heard the original, but I just looked it up, and I prefer your version, I gotta say. You have a great voice, and those quick 'ooo's and 'aahs' sound terrific. the transition from the muted strumming back to the crazy complicated sounded strumming is amazing. posted by Corduroy at 3:43 PM on

I had only heard a live version, and I this must be what the original sounded like, I also looked it up and I like your version better too.
You are the requests master, you beat us all and not once, but twice! I'm really glad to see this request thing getting off the ground, thanks a lot, dagosto. posted by micayetoca at 3:51 PM on

This is a brilliant take on that song! What really grabs me is how so much of your version sounds reconstructed from early African American influence. Forgive me for stating the obvious, but I feel like I've just witness some really cool musical anthropology. Great stuff. posted by snsranch at 4:32 PM on

This is seriously awesome. (I'd like to hear the vocals a smidge louder, though... not that the guitar isn't enough to carry the song by itself...) posted by doubtfulpalace at 7:32 PM on

Thanks all. I'm really happy to hear all of you say such things.

Fair judgment. This is the stuff in recording that is like red state blue state.

Man, I really like this. I've been looking for a politer way to say it but have failed, so excuse me but: You actually gave this horrible tapioca song some much needed balls, and that is exceptionally satisfying given that it originally sprung from one of rock's biggest dicks. Well done. posted by melissa may at 11:05 PM on

Yeah, I think of the Stones as a blues band wearing make-up. While I enjoy their blues I'm not a big fan of the make-up. posted by dagosto at 11:07 AM on
