A random demo of a song I wrote with lyrics from Wallace Stevens' poem Anecdote of the Jar.

I recorded this in one take last month when I got my first Macbook and discovered its built in microphone. (hence, the noticeable imperfections) Nevertheless, I think if I tried to rerecord it I'd lose whatever I captured for it was one of those songs that sort of just came out of a whim. Please excuse the quality/brevity. I understand that if I had shortened it slightly I could have included it in the lessthanaminute challenge of the month. Ah well. Consider it a quasi-entry. Played on a Simon & Patrick steel 6-string.

Haha! Nice use of the morethanaminute tag. I'm gonna go add that right now to the tune I just posted, which clocked in at 1:01.

I am a big fan of the quality, particulary that high squeal that repeats rhythmically several times.

(For that matter, I am big fan of brevity as well.)

Hey man, I hear you about the mac-mic, but damn, this sounds really good! Your voice sounds great, and your guitar voice is really vibrant and robust. I'm diggin' it man! (more?)
