It's gorgeous ORthey - I find myself wanting the melody to change and develop and soar a bit more in the last two verses (or maybe in the harmony for the last two verses?) The melody seems to generally head downwards, whereas I keep wanting it to go up. Also, a tambourine to come in as it builds? :)

I wish, wish, wish I had as effortlessly moving a voice as yours. :)

Thanks, all! Ira_ - I know, it needs work, and I like your thoughts/suggestions a lot. Sometimes I hastily "finish" tunes that need more work out of... laziness? Stubbornness?

Hey ORthey, it's already one of my favourite songs on MeMu(?) as is! They are just some additional ideas, if you feel like playing around with it :) And it's great that you can finish tunes and let them go - I could do with being better at that!

Forgive me, but I disagree. Sure you could do stuff to it, but man, if you played that on the back porch during an after party, you would be the king, like forever!

Listening again, I wouldn't change a thing about the melody - which is gorgeous - right up until the last three lines. I was wanting the melody for those three lines to rise more, before falling again to home on repeat.

But really, it's wonderful as is, so feel free to ignore me - it's just easier for me to have ideas for other people's songs than work on my own! :)

Hmm... a whole song of falsetto?? Something I've always wanted to try, actually. Maybe I'll do it. Oh, and good ear on the vocals, corduroy - it's a different kind of reverb I've been trying. It seems to remove some of the flaws from my voice, which is good and bad at the same time.

Sounds like you're testing out this new reverb effect, so I'll say my honest opinion is I prefer the 'flawed' ORthey :)
