Dog

A dog loses his boy. Part of my album for the 2009 RPM Challenge.

I wrote the first lyrics for this ages ago, inspired at the time by the great Leonard Cohen line "you've got that broken feeling, like your father or your dog just died".

When my father died last year, I adapted it to him.

This is terrific. The percussion sounds like dishes being cleaned and put away. I love it, because it's like you're having these deep thoughts while putting away some forks. And that is a great Leonard Cohen lyric. Well done!
