A quick, light-spirited, no-frills guitar/banjo instrumental.

This is great, exactly the kind of music I wanna listen to now that it's finally starting to warm up and be sunny. As usual your fingerpicking is top notch, what else is new.

Great playing, makes me want to ride my bike down a hill.

I reiterate each of these comments. I love, love strummed banjo's.

Eh, this could be better... if you were playing it beside a bon fire in my back yard!

I love how you just flirt with the banjo until the very end when you drive it right home where it belongs. (Not that the first banjo parts suck, mind you!)

Great stuff, man, and I needed it today.

Thanks!

And how is the album coming along?

Thanks all!

Corduroy, the album is coming along very well, although slowly... my 'engineer' and producer has 3 kids and limited time, so solid studio time is rare. But it's been a blast and I'm very happy with what I've recorded so far, and I'll let you know when I have a few finished tunes and a myspace page.

Nice stuff! I like that strummed banjo.

Like BrnP84 says, this is the right music for the season. I enjoyed that a lot, thanks for posting.

Top shelf, beautiful music as always ORthey. Love the distant, panned, and somewhat distorted banjo in the first section there.

Earlier this week I was wondering about you and your album too. I'm glad to hear all is going well. And this song, as always, was a delight.

Goddam but that's great.

I caught this late, but wanted to chime in and say that I really enjoyed this as well. I particularly like how, towards the end, you have some banjo notes create their own rhythm that isn't completely in lockstep with everything else. They're on beat, but they almost feel like they're not, maybe because of how they're panned and how loud they are. Another life emerges within the life of the song. Really cool.

man, this is so clean... Are you using finger pads or do you have the guitar player's fingernails?

Are you using finger pads or do you have the guitar player's fingernails?

I use a thumbpick, but the other fingers are just as is. I have an embarrassing, ongoing habit of biting my nails and so I don't have any guitar player fingernails to speak of... just some serious callouses!

This is about as good as a cold drink after a long day, which is hard to beat.

As for the fingernails, I used to bite mine also. Once I started growing them out/trimming them, I found they got torn up pretty fast on steelstrings anyway. Of course I'm too lazy to try all those musician tricks like false nails or enamel or superglue or whatever alchemy people are concocting these days, but I'm happy with my tone and I'd say yours is pretty spectular, too.
