Bones

A few summers ago, I went backpacking through Belize and made a short day- trip to the ruins of Tikal in Guatemala. Walking around, I began to think about the nameless masses undocumented by hieroglyphics and mythologies— the individuals who cultivated farms, raised children, attended to the basic foundations of their society by simply living unhistoric lives. When I got home, I wrote this.

And while I was writing, I couldn't help but find parallels between the feelings of this long- lost Mayan and:
— the mood of "Tomorrow and tomorrow..." soliloquy from Macbeth Act V, v
— the spirit of Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle.

I got a Radiohead vibe from this, then I realized who posted it. :) Good song, man.
