Emotion Experiment 2

May 13, 2009 5:51 AM

This piece is supposed to represent a story associated with a particular emotion. Please let me know what emotion you think it is.

This is a simpler version of a previous piece I put up here. There are no themes in common, just the same overall musical plan, much compressed. It would be great to hear your views.

I hear uncertainty and ambivalence leading to anger. I imagine a person debating with herself about something, trying to be rational about it but seething under the surface.

thanks for your response! I won't say yet what the intention was...

This is obviously a story about a website registration.

I really like these little synthasia games.
I feel it expresses a clumsy and impish kind of mischief that ends in embarassment.
Like some fool who decides to shoplift a higgs-boson from the large hadron collider and ends up nailed to the floor by the unwieldy mass particle he tried to conceal in his pocket.

A drunken magisterial anxiety attack at high noon.

Great stories so far, which in general make sense to me. And if I gave a list of 'negative' emotions:

anger
hate
anxiety
embarrassment
jealousy
envy
contempt
disgust
guilt
disappointment

would you pick one out?

I'd say jealousy.

There's the higher, tentative sounds, then the low fuzzy rumblings, then the two move together and create together. Then the finish when the two strains fight and argue and end.

It reminded me of a love affair.
