Acoustic Interlude

July 18, 2006 4:54 PM

This is a very short (~40 seconds) piece I wrote and recorded this afternoon that might or might not become a song. In the mean time it might make for a nice acoustic guitar interlude. I'm still working on my recording technique so any general advice and specific feedback will be appreciated.

That was beautiful. I'll have to listen again later with some better equipment. That's a great piece.

I agree, it's a pretty little melody. I hope you post the full song if it turns into one.

Thanks folks. And nice job on the playlists, cortex, I just noticed that. Pretty awesome.

Yeah, I've been trying to get everything categorized. More or less for personal use—what I find Soothing probably won't apply to everybody, for example—so that I can go back and listen to stuff based on mood needs. I'm afraid someone will get offended by being on my "wha happen?!" list, but it's really just the domain of the mood-uncategorizable.

Sounds great, I especially like the twangy part near the end (don't know how else to explain that) would sound cool if there were more of that!

Beautiful. Would love to hear the full song one day (but it's lovely as is).

Thanks for the feedback. Even if it doesn't become a full blown song with words and stuff I'd like to extend it as an instrumental. It's a workout and I need more like it to keep my picking chops up (I'm so lazy: never practise).
