I've secretly always liked this song. It also always makes me think of this one scene in Arrested Development. Well done. I think the drums have a nice tone to them, too. I wished those harmonies at the end were a little louder, but alas.

Oh yeah. This is really nicely done.

I always thought the original song harbored some mixed feelings underneath the sparkle, and you tease that out with the slower tempo and heavy feel.

What I like about this version is that it's in-between. It's not like you are making an easy choice that the narrator thinks that the city absolutely sucks, and is singing completely against the original. Great job.
