The Wassail Song

My first contribution to the Hark! The Herald Banjo Rings 2009 project.

Since by happy coincidence it meets this month's challenge, I am posting it here as well!

I wound up having to rush to learn & record this tune to make my deadline for the project so the performance is rougher and the levels hotter than I'd like, but there it is.

I mixed two different takes to make things sound a bit fuller - I think it works pretty well. Key of G, 110 BPM if you want to play along. (Good luck with those chord changes! I gave up my plans to do a guitar track pretty quickly.)
