Paraplegic Woman Runs From Cops

News-of-the-weird recording from 2006. One of my favorite compositions back from when I was doing The Aural Times.

I've spent the last few days working to build and sanitize a canonical archive of all my recordings over the years, and part of that is the several dozen recordings I did over six months in 2006.

Man, that's really cool. I'm going to have to check out the Aural Times.

Note that I redesigned the site significantly late in 2006 when I thought I might resurrect it as a general music-I'm-doing site, so it no longer looks like an old-timey newspaper. But I never ended up doing anything significant with the site after the facelift; I think I should maybe unfacelift it at this point and let it stand as it originally looked.

Here's an archive.org mirror of this songs front page, but the images are a mix of slow-loading and broken there unfortunately.

If you want to just plow through music without all the fake-editor-in-chief-providing-context-and-stories-about-his-lousy-interns framing, you can go straight to the file listing for the mp3s.

Ah, the Aural Times, how I miss those days, back before I realized that the Aural Times guy, the Laundryroom Swapmeet guy, and that Metafilter moderator were all the same person.

I was a big fan of the Aural Times. Big fan. That slogan (we'll sing the news so you don't have to) was pure genius.
