Sealed With A Kiss

This is a kind of electro-acoustic-surf cover of a song that's been covered to death. The version I know was Bobby Vinton's.

Okay - so this is my first post here. I've done a few covers in a similar electro-acoustic style and released one on my last album (I Will Wait For You). I kinda decided that unless somebody else is going to pay for it, the licensing headache just isn't worth doing it again, so chances are...this will never make it on an album.

I think I did 3 or 4 vocal approaches and can't say I'm crazy about any of them. However, having said that, I really dig the guitar in the middle-8 and the mellotron arrangement in the final chorus.

Missed this until hitting your profile. This is pretty great. I like the vocals, here.

That guitar in the bridge is cool and slinky -- kinda Morricone-ish?

Is the mellotron a real one? It does sound pretty cool, you're right. And I really like the very, very end -- super.

Thanks Karlos! Yeah, totally Morricone-ish. I'm finding more and more that I've been subliminally influenced by that guy more than I could possibly imagine. But I've yet to plumb the depths of whistling and whip-cracking.

The mellotron's not real. I think it might have been from the Pinder sample collection.
