Y'know, I get this sort of musical inspiration quite a bit, but ... I am jealous of your motivation to create these songs, cortex.

From whence does that come?

Heh. The one time I don't mention it...

I run a site called The Aural Times, for which I put up a song written about a contemporary news story three times a week (or so). Motivation is a funny thing: at some point I declared that I would do this, and so, huh, I did.

The novelty has worn off—some days I feel up to it, some days I just want to drink some beer and watch a DVD with the wife—but it's a great deal of fun and I'm a little amazed at my own productivity. I've done a bit more than sixty songs since I started it in February.

Heh. I like how you practically sing "Merica Online."

ha! I never realized you were the genius behind The Aural Times. T'was a featured segment of my weekly radio show. I wonder what other cortexian magic I ended up playing on that show.
