foot chase

Easy little piano/drum instrumental track that a friend and I recorded a few years back. I call it "foot chase" because for some reason it makes me imagine being on the run from someone.

Haha, yeah the drums get a little...vigorous. I recorded it live with the piano and the drums in the same room, so thats why you get that "wall of sound" type effect. I can't really adjust the levels of the individual tracks because it was all processed as one file and we only did the one take. Overall though I'm pretty happy with it. I'm glad you like it too!

I like the levels as they are, the frantic piano makes me think of the person running, whereas the slightly overwhelming drums is the predator.

Sorry to be commenting so long after the post was made, I've only just today been trawling back thru.
I quite enjoy this, I feel it's got a lot of imagery to it. Personally I think the levels are great, the wall-of-sound effect sort of adds to the immediacy of the track.

Really, really like the drums in the busy parts of this. That rattly, verbed-out frantic snare feel wrapped up with the cymbal stuff is just great.

I like this! I can totally see the climactic, art-house foot chase between the left-him-to-protect-him lady spy and the love-struck, tweed-clad gentleman who is unconcerned for his own safety because he believes their love will protect them. Ah, Paris...
Well done - but I think you could pull back on the drums a little. Either just bump down the volume altogether, or relax on the crashes a bit. It's kinda cool how it's all huge, but the piano ends up getting lost a little, and it sounds like the drummer is going just a bit too mental behind the kit. In any case, it's a very 'visual' tune, and I like it quite a lot. Nice job.
