in the morning

August 4, 2010 11:28 AM

"In the morning say good morning to your mommy and she'll love you for the rest of the day."

"I didn't understand a word they said."
"They told you to wake up."

This tune is a part of a compilation called Gone in 60 Seconds from the blog I Heart Noise. We were asked to come up with something a minute long (like everyone else on the comp) and since I had just visited family and recorded my nephews singing this song to their mother over the phone, it seemed like the best source material to use. My nephews are pretty funny. They came up with the song themselves. The other voices are my sister and mother, pitch shifted. The background music is from a movie with some added bits from me. I'll let you guess which movie.

I think you just melted a part of my brain that I'm pretty sure I needed for something but can't remember what because the part of my brain in charge of remembering that also melted.

It sounds like a cross between "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest" and a seance.

Which is a good thing...I think.
