Twisted

October 27, 2010 2:12 PM

Ancient 8-track demo from 2002 or 03. A dark (and occasionally slightly out-of-tune) little curio with some interesting chord progressions and harmonic twists. I vaguely remember being obsessed with this one at the time. I guess it could be categorised as spinwave chilloff....

I can't remember all the words and never wrote them down. The track is obscurely and allusively about depression. The recording is obviously poor quality. Nevertheless, interesting enough to share I think. I still think it has something - hope someone else does too!

Oh bugger! I was trying to reel in that geezer nuevaforma or marmot or whatever pseudonym he was using, and the admins have given him and his poxy disco synth label the heave-ho! Spoilsports!! You can all ignore this track now - it was a Trojan horse.

Ah, thwarted by MeFi Security! In any case, I enjoyed this song. Very mellow and enjoyable despite that it's about depression. Cheers!

Spillave woffchin. For sure. Or whatever. But yeah, a nice easy groove regardless. Quite liked it.

Your voice has a wonderful smoky Nina Simone / Sade thing going on at the beginning... it's not until quite a way in that it becomes obvious that a man is singing. I would be interested to hear more of your stuff with this very close-mike'd, warmed up feeling. It really suits your voice and eliminates some of the strain I sometimes hear.
