Something Happens

A VU style riffer. I recorded this a few years ago and just rediscovered it. I am quite fond of this one and the silly, posturing lyrics.

In the dark you always look the same
All of the spoils but none of the shame
A wicked frenzy in a firefight
If you can you rip their heart out
But you're always polite
Come on
You always act like my friend

Sittin' easy on a big black whole
With one eye on the pistol
And the other on the door
The baby Jesus won't help you again
But if you die for your sins
Well, we can always pretend.
Come on.

Something happens in the middle
When you try to fake it
Something happens in the middle
And you cannot take it.

Awesome how it's essentially one chord throughout.
Also I like how I could absent-mindedly sing, "she's got legs...she knows how to use them" every now and again.
Nice!

Yeah, me too, it must be the drums. It kinda feels closer to that, but then the guitar keeps pulling it back to the VU. Cool song, tunewell.

Great tune! We had a two chord challenge, time for a one chord challenge.
