Tonight You Belong To Me

A quick arrangement I did for guitar and musical saw of "Tonight You Belong To Me" by Billy Rose and Lee David. You might remember it from here.

Man, that is some pretty playing. The saw is fantastic; it's just such an amazingly odd instrument.

Love this song, love your recording. The saw is wonderful; makes me want to have a go with the theremin.

Very subdued, beautiful recording. Sounds like changing into warm clothes after sledding. I see this is your first music post, please post more!

Is the rest of The Jerk as amazing as that scene?

I just heard this coming from my roommate's computer and asked him what on earth it was and where he found it. Thumbs way up. =)

I love this song a lot but if I can be bitchy for just a second, I had kind of grown cynically tired of it as the cover that the kooky, sweet couple inevitably does at an open mic. But you saved it with your awesome sad fingerstyle and saw. And I love that it's an instrumental and not yet another fun, old timey guy'n'gal duet.

I just showed my kids The Jerk last weekend as I'd totally loved it when I was their age. They laughed at several parts, especially the dog Shithead, and chuckled at all the things that are burned into my psyche ("He hates those cans!" "The new phonebook's here!" the "Thermos Song") but mostly they just found it (and I) really weird.

That is some righteous saw playing.
