Surf punk that somehow turns into old school metal. Featuring one of the best female vocalists in Olympia Washington.
This is from a new band i'm in called GEORGY. We just played our first show last night and it went really well. Up to this point we've been writing a few songs and recording our practice sessions - this demo is pretty much a live take.

Oh yeah, it's Emily from Christmas. They've played Helsing the past two years, but sadly are no more.
I realized after I posted that I shouldn't have said "featuring" because actually she fronts the band and straight up writes most of the songs. She's not just an incredible vocalist, but a hell of a songwriter too.

I like the way it sounds like it's going up the lift hill on a rollercoaster and then the car peaks (e.g. at 1:50) and it just comes hurtling back down. Badass.

Had me with the first note. Good stuff. Such a great lofi vibe. That has to be fun to play live.

I'm the drummer. A gentleman named Jacob Estep is the guitarist. Emily Beanblossom is on bass.
