The harmony vocals in particular came out pretty much the opposite of lush.

There are a few other tracks that I put on the final disc for the wedding—odds and ends grabbed via minitape in the last month, a beer-bottle-panflute recording of half of one verse that the wife and I recorded, a weird spacey processing experiment, etc. But this is the Straight version.

So did any MeFi versions make it? I and my partners planned on doing one but ran out of time. Actually, I'd still like to do it, as it's a difficult song. Also, it's interesting to hear everybody's take on the same thing; it eliminates a variable. And I'd be interested to hear your alternate versions.

With those backing vocals it now sounds like the saddest drinking song ever. I esp. like your fragile tired-sounding lead vocal. Well done, cortex.

So, as erikgrande asked, what happened with the wedding, anyway?
Did you give them all the songs on a CD, or how did it work?
Did they like them? How many versions did you end up with?
Love to know how it went down.
