Hello, Are You There? I'm Listening.

Kind of experimental...starts off very synthy. Not a song exactly but probably enjoyable.

Inspired by this post on the blue about radio "Number Stations".

Headphones are a +plus+ for the first half, BTW.

Numbers station! Went through a period several years back where the Conet Project was on heavy rotation chez flapjax. They are oddly addictive.

I think it's cool you're messing around with synths. Reminds me I should dust off the ol' JUNO sometime and dive back in.

Love the plaintive piano. It's very poetic, juxtaposed with the numbers stuff. And the tag ending, for which the piece is named: fantastic.

Hey flapjax, a few months late, but thank you.

oh man...I didn't realize this was a thing until I read this.

I really like this. It captures a certain modern feeling. Hearing a woman's voice doing a robot's work. Trying desperately to scrape at her humanity with those rich, round piano notes. Like reaching for a ghost.

I kinda imagine that this is what a 'bleep-bloop' from Wall-E sounds like if you slow it down a thousand times. Or what the folks in the Cube must have thought about when they could just relax and soak in those vector patterns and primary colors. Or what Ted hummed to himself, in between screams, lacking a mouth.

It's upsetting with a hopeful resolution. And that's really welcome right now.
