In the Frame Room

October 6, 2006 9:57 PM

Ben, the lead singer in the band for which I am the drummer, requested I upload this song. The band's name is The Next, and the song is an impromptu jam in which he was searching for something about which to sing. As it turned out, we practice in an old fabric dying factory, and the board next to the office in which we play had many labels. One of which is "In Frame Room". Another is "Scheduled for Dying". It is the first upon which the lyrics were based.

It took so long to rework a copy thet'll play at the right speed, a la Das Wartenfurwasschlimmererzupassierenwaltzer. But I've done it! Though it sounds awesome twice as fast, as well.

And, yes, the line is "When I saw what you were planning, I couldn't sit there standing."

Thanks, snsranch. Our focus muscially is on being an enjoyable live band. So that is an amazing compliment.

Would you consider "collaborating" on some punk stuff soley for the purpose of posting on MuFi? My e-mail is in my profile.

(I have some punk stuff that I would like to post, but I can only cover guitar, bass and vocals. It sounds really good but lacks the puntuation of some good drumming/percusssion.)

"I couldn't sit there standing" is a terrific line.
