Misunderstanding At A Busstop Downtown

When I first got my digital 8-track recorder, I wanted to make a test song to learn it's functionality. This song showcases some wild off-key singing as well as my inability to track an instrument without a single mistake. It's about a little mishap I had shortly after I started dating my current girlfriend.

I love this song. I think the voice is better suited for something more speedy like some '70s experimental punk or something. But thats just my opinion. I love the ending too. There's nothing like a nice clean break to finish things up.

Thanks snsranch for your comments on both this and the other song I posted! I like a lot of the stuff you have posted so far; I was hooked since I first heard your kids rap/beatbox. ;)

You're completely right about the vocals in this song - I thought the same thing as I developed the style/lyrics over the various takes. I originally sang it in that wild goofy way simply because I didn't like the way it sounded when I tried doing it in a more "serious" tone, and by the final take I ended up liking the way it contrasted with the more traditional pop backing.

I just listened to this again with my new head phones and it kicks ass!

This is cool stuff all around. You definitely have a very good rock voice, but sounds as though you're still trying to find your style. You're pretty close from the looks of it, though. Looking forward to hearing other stuff from you.

I love the vox! Sounds very snotty; jeering, which works well wit the song, IMHO.
