Moonshaking Masher

A dizzy concoction, born out of doing something else. I saw this and thought that's pretty cool. So I made this. Made in Adobe Premiere.

First time I've worked outside a standard DAW on a computer. Usually use Ableton, Logic or Renoise.

No effects were used and the results aren't too bad, but I think it makes more sense with the video. I'll definitely try this approach in future. Having to place all the clips on a video timeline seemed to let the thing grow of its own accord. This is more of a proof of concept than anything else. Next up would be to record my own footage (or collaborate) and apply the same cut and paste tools

Cool, reminds me of Battles.

This is really neat! I listened to the track here first yesterday, then went to check out the source video and was really delighted (a) by the actual street performance and (b) by the use of that source material to build up the audio track.

Finally got around to watching your video this morning and it was a nice capstone to the whole thing, all the more interesting to watch from having heard the mashup and then seen the source separately beforehand. Whole thing worked really nicely, I think, great work.

Thanks for feedback! Yea it does have more than a hint of Battles about. Which isn't a bad thing! Reckon I'll to try this again, but with my own footage and audio. Definitely enjoyed working this way as a challenge to the usual DAW workflow.
