Black Mountain Blues

January 20, 2014 10:19 AM

This is a little fingerstyle blues thing I've been working on for a while, indebted to Mississippi John Hurt and a little bit of John Fahey.

For my dad who isn't feeling so great right now.

thanks! the inspiration for the piece came from Spike Driver Blues, although I've definitely abstracted and changed/added stuff. And my right hand isn't nearly as good :)

Really nice! Your fingerstyle is tight, and the guitar sounds beautiful. Roll of the lows a little and put a gentle room 'verb on this and it would be studio-quality.

I don't come to Music very often, but today I did and I really like this song a lot. Sounds great. Thank you.

thanks all! and grumpybear69, thanks for the recording feedback. I have a relatively new setup at home that I'm still sorting out - I'll try your suggestions out, for sure. And thankfully, my dad is doing better now too :)
