B'doo Deh Du

Dance-Rock Late-70's-type Instrumental. Maybe if Thin Lizzy and the Talking Heads were commissioned to write the theme song to CHiPs? The only lyrics are "B'doo deh du" and "Bah-Bah-Bah-Bomp!"

This has been knocking around my head for years, but I never got around to trying to record it until now, since I am getting better at using Garageband. It came out different than what it had sounded like in my head all these years, but I like it better, and I really like hearing it OUTSIDE of my head, if that makes sense. Also a good chance to practice accordion.

Heh, at first I thought the accordion was guitar stings with no attack. I wonder if it could be used under the verse in full-draw mode, sort of echoing the synth in the chorus. Nice little earworm you made.

I thought the same thing as Johnny! I'd love to hear the accordion a bit further forward, so I could make it out more clearly. And bringing it in with the synth, perhaps just the second time, or as a pedal underneath it? Great idea.

So cool though, this needs to be the theme tune to a cool french animated film.

I was walking around today and humming and thinking, what's that song? hm-hmm hmm hmm... hm-hmm hmm hmm... B'doo Deh Du! I feel like this is from the awesome side project of Animal from the muppets.

Thanks, everyone! I think this was one of my favorite things to record in the past couple of years – it definitely marked a turning point for me, both in catalyzing a period of increased musical activity, and in terms of being able to realize on record what floats around in my head.
