Au Courant

Experimental electroclassical hip-hop track. First one to name the classical piece I lifted for my main brass sample gets a lollipop. (Hint, I play it in entirety in incredibly high-pitched, fast motion near the end of the track).

I'm listening to this for the fourth time in a row right now. I love it.

The super-abrupt ending feels a bit sore-thumbish. I suppose that might be different in the context of a mix, though.

Electroclassical! Right on. I really like this.

Heap big fun! I'm with cortex, though, on the ending. Kinda needs an ending, no?

Thanks for the comments so far. As for the ending, it sounds abrubt on its own but segues quite nicely into a track of the same tempo that comes right after on the demo I'm putting together. If Mefi had a reupload option I'd put on a cleaner mix for this site. Oh well! Courant-courant!

There is clearly no option but for you to upload the next track as well.

you can also host the new version somewhere and paste the link in a comment here.

This is exactly the kind of music I generally hate. But I enjoyed this one. Really, I did.

The ending is quiet jarring. I think it would be trivial to make another version that has the last 16 bars or so just repeat and trail out.

Thanks for the post.

FYI, the brass sample I lifted is from Uranus by Holst. The intro chord was cut and rolled into a melody. The entire piece is played high/fast near the end of the track as an homage.

I hope you'll forgive me an irresistible "so you've been digging around in Uranus" riff, then.

1812 Overture.
Email it to me. Very nice. Really like your stuff.

Totally laughing at sluglicker's fail right now.
