Tell me if I am guessing right: Korg is the fat bass and some leads, JX-8P is your go-to synth, so some familiar sounds there, and the rhythm guitar is you on real [solid body/no FX] guitar?

Where would creativity be without cheek?

Yep! In addition to being a great bass synth, the Monologue is fabulous in the upper register. It has a very well-designed and easy-to-use sequencer (although the 16-step maximum is sometimes a tad limiting) so I use it for basic arp patterns.
