Storm Clouds Of Jupiter - part 3

March 20, 2020 5:08 PM

Part three of three - with real drums!

Having taken data with a dropwindsonde, our intrepid spacecraft punches through the Jovian atmosphere to see the great panorama of horizon eleven times more vast than Earth's; endless swirls of rust, brown, tan, beige, white, and orange that we have only ever seen in pictures. A final flyover above the majestic clouds before rejoining the mother ship.

Not much to say about the music here, other than I feel lucky to have my friend Darrell on drums rounding out this track nicely. I hope you enjoyed the trip - please return your snack trays to their upright and locked position.

New Appleseed never disappoints! Great chords and great piano+pad vibes.

This is my favorite of the three, even though it's the most conventional. I asked my brother to shred it up and he went to town - he normally doesn't play like that and I think he even surprised himself. Drums were recorded before the lead guitar, and Darrell said he would have given it a little more oompf if it had been a live session. Either way, it builds nicely and trails off with that spacey SFX.

This is lovely, like a Charlie Brown special, but in space.
